OPENING RETREAT Session RECORDINGS

 

SESSION 1

Programme Opening Session

During this session we had a chance to connect into the intention of Nurturing Resilience and to share our hopes for the programme.

 

SESSION 2

Gentle Soul Flow Yoga and Intention Setting

A gentle movement focused session where we explored the body as a vehicle for our awakening. At the end we set intentions for the programme.

Suggested Action:

Take time to connect into your Sankalpa or intention for the programme, using the worksheet below and to really clarify what it is that matters to you, your hopes for the programme and to confirm your commitment to yourself.

As sessions with music include copyrighted music, you can find access to this recording at the Dropbox link below, where you can simply play them. It isn’t necessary to have a Dropbox account to access this files. If you have any issues please simply email us.


 

SESSION 3

Building our safe group container

During this session we explored what it means to create a safe container for each of us. Some of the actions we agreed on:

We all agree to the following to hold a safe container:

  • To hold a confidential space

  • To not discuss anything shared by people in the space outside of that moment

  • To not comment on what people have shared (offering advice /opinions), rather to speak for how it made you feel

  • To practice active listening - without interrupting

  • To know that you don’t need to have the answers or strategies to fix or solve anything. You can just listen and bring your presence

  • To know that you can share as much or as little as you wish

  • To let the group know before sharing if you might be about to share potentially triggering insights or information - ‘trigger warnings’

  • We can use the word ‘ouch’ to say that we’d rather not share

 

 

SESSION 4

Masterclass - Self-Awareness

During this session we connected to The Soulshine Way - a roadmap for healing and transformation. We then began exploring the foundations of this roadmap and the importance of Self-Awareness and building a Mindfulness practice.

This session included a Mindfulness practice and setting a commitment for a daily meditation practice.

SESSION 5

Closing Session - Yoga Nidra & Intentions

A yummy and relaxing session to allow for integration of the day and to affirm intentions on a deep level through Yoga Nidra and the mantra Aham Prema meaning 'I am love' or 'I am Divine Love'.

Please note the electricity cut for a moment at the very end. We finished just a few moments after so you didn’t miss much - other than my surprised face!

  2. Make sure that you are clear on the agreed rules for holding a safe space for the group container
