Your Monthly Inspiration to Shine Bright
March 2023
So, February passed in the blink of an eye and it's been quite a month for us here at Soulshine.
Our 12-month Nurturing Resilience Group Programme came to an end with such beautiful stories of transformation.
I have so much love for each of the women who have journeyed so courageously into their inner landscapes to understand who they are and how they became that way. Learning how to meet themselves and regulate their systems with Self-Compassion and tenderness. It was so emotional in our Closing Circle hearing such authentic sharing of such massive shifts. If you're interested in joining the next Programme you can register here.
We also had over 300 women sign up for our Introduction to Internal Family Systems Workshop which is real testament to how important this work is and how much there is a yearning and need amongst us to heal and transform (sign up here if you'd like to watch the recording).
I am reminded again and again of just how important this work is. It isn't always easy but it is oh, so worth it. We all deserve to find our way home to the freedom that exists in living as our Authentic Self.
With that in mind and as we now settle into the rhythm of 2023 I've been been reflecting on what it means to truly turn up and offer ourselves Self-Care. Not just because it's the new year, but because it's a non-negotiable in our every day life.
Read on for March's reflections on Self-Care and 'Doing the Work'!.
I hope these reflections continue to inspire and empower you to shine your brightest.
REFLECTIONS ON…
Sometimes Self-Care is a small loving moment - like taking a Yoga class, buying yourself flowers or preparing yourself a deliciously nourishing meal.
Sometimes Self-Care is putting in a place a tough but strong boundary to protect your emotional and physical energy.
Sometimes its doing nothing at all and creating a sacred pause in your life (like on a Luxury Soulshine Retreat!).
And sometimes Self-Care is a full commitment to finally journey deep into your shadows and freeing yourself from the narratives, strategies and wounds from your past that continue to restrict your present. Yep - that's Self-Care too. The fiercest, most vulnerable, most courageous and most DEEPLY rewarding kind of Self-Care.
This month I wanted to share some resources for those of you who are either already on this path or are contemplating 'doing the work'.
The work to understand
The work to heal
The work to transform
The work to set yourself free
The work to return to who you truly are
And if you're thinking about embarking on this journey, then I would love to walk by your side. I currently have space for new clients on my 1:1 Inner Alchemy Therapeutic Coaching Programme.
You can explore here or simply get in touch now and we can arrange a time to connect on a call and have a chat about how Therapeutic Coaching might support you at this time
And now to ‘Doing the Work’
This month you'll find A LOT of books to read and podcasts. As someone dedicated to 'doing the work' both personally and professionally, it was almost impossible to pick which resources to share so I've shared a mini spread! Including some of my fave Internal Family Systems resources.
I so hope this is helpful and would love to hear how you get on with the resources...
Books to Read
Podcasts to Listen to…
To help you decide which books to read, I've included one podcast with each author below for you to feel into what feels most aligned for you right now.
I've started with a combination of two of my favourite things - Glennon Doyle and Internal Family Systems practice (which forms the foundation of my Therapeutic Coaching). Enjoy!
